ROOKIE’S ON THE COURT

A Rookie’s pickleball tournament in partnership with Ivy Hill

Attention all pickleball enthusiasts! Rookie’s is hosting our first-ever pickleball tournament and you won’t want to miss it! Join us on May 7th from 1-6 at Ivy Hill Golf Club. Check-in will begin at 12:30.

Round Robin: 32 Teams

The tournament will start with a round robin stage where each team will play three games against different opponents. Each game will consist of 1 set to 11 points straight, or to the 20 minute mark. Teams will self-regulate and will report their scores to Rookie’s at the end of each match. At the end of the round robin, teams will be seeded based on overall record with score differential serving as a tie breaker. 16 teams will advance to the single elimination tournament.

Estimated time: 1:00 - 3:40 pm

Single Elimination: Top 16 Teams

In the single elimination stage, teams will play one game to 15 and must win by two to advance to the next round. The final match will follow a traditional best of three match, where the winner will win two of the three games, and must win each game by two.

Estimated time: 4:00 - 6:00 pm

Spectators Welcome

Spectators and players waiting for their next game are more than welcome to watch the courts! There are areas to cheer on your favorite players, play yard games, and enjoy some ice cream sammies. We know that playing pickleball works up an appetite, so Ivy Hill’s cafe will be open with food and beverages and our Rookie’s ice cream sammies will be available for purchase at the court.
